Janssen-Kabinett. Horst Janssen (1929-1995) is in Duitsland een van de belangrijkste kunstenaars van de tweede helft van de twintigste eeuw. Hij is een van de meest begaafde tekenaars en aquarellisten van deze tijd. Zijn tentoonstelling in Museum De Buitenplaats is een primeur voor Nederland.

Horst Janssen in one of the most distinguished artists in the drawing an graphic arts. He grew up with his grandparents in Oldenburg. In 1992, Oldenburg offered him the honorable citizenship award and Janssen accepted with great pleasure. In November 2000, the City of Oldenburg inaugurated the Horst-Janssen-Museum in honor of the artist.
