Fünfzig Jahre lang dokumentierte Arnold Odermatt Verkehrsunfälle auf den Straßen des Schweizer Kantons Niwalden. Der ehemalige Oberleutnant war Polizeifotograf, seine Bilder dienten der Beweisaufnahme. Handwerkliche Präzision betrachtete er als das A und O seines Berufs: „Ein gutes Foto ist scharf, man muss alles darauf sehen, was man möchte“, lautet Odermatts Credo.
